Casa Hillel Visits Prosserman JCC

This small group was discovered when our Prosserman JCC Kolel voluntour went to Guatemala last April. A generous donation in memory of Clara and David Nightingale, who were members of the Reform Jewish community for over 60 years, made this dream possible. Their love of Judaism and desire to help those in need inspired this gift. With the help of our amazing partners Michael Ettedgui and Yaldeinu, Shaul Zobary and Camp Gesher, Adrienne Rosen and Access Education (our partner in the voluntour) and travel agent Michal Shenkar of Payless Travel we were somehow able to move many last-minute mountains and on Sunday July 24, as hoped, all six kids arrived. They spent a few days sightseeing in Toronto (at the CN Tower, Niagara Falls, Hippobus, ROM and other places) then spent a three week session at Camp Gesher. After sleep-away camp they spent time at the Prosserman JCC Centre Camp and here at the Centre itself just having a ball in the Fitness Centre!
