The Prosserman JCC is accountable to the Jewish communities within which we live, work and play. Philanthropic support ensures that we can continue to invest in creating a kind and inclusive community that models respect for all people. Donors play a pivotal role in improving the quality of life for all those who come through our doors.
More than 1,000 people each year depend on philanthropic support from our community. From seniors to new Canadians, from those who have lost their jobs or suffered a tragedy, to those who are recovering from illness or caretaking for someone else, we all could use a little help sometimes.
For a minimum donation of $18 a month or $216 a year, you can join the Mitzvah Club and help ensure members of our community who are experiencing financial hardship are able to participate in health and wellness, education, recreation, and arts and cultural activities at the JCC.
You'll be acknowledged as part of a noble group of donors with an access pass identifier, a welcome surprise, and be recognized on our JCC digital screens.
As a community that cares, it is critical that we build a bridge to participation to ensure inclusivity in our community and to leverage our world class programs for people of all ages.
Your donation will go towards those who need us most. This includes families facing financial hardship, children with special needs, and newly immigrated families. At a critical time, a life can be changed.
At the JCC, we believe that being part of community shouldn’t come with a price tag. Affordability is no longer a barrier when everyone is a member.
As the Jewish community has generously invested in capital development over the past many years, we have the physical structure to house exceptional programs and bring life into the buildings. Funding for visionary programs and leading-edge equipment brings life into the building. Innovation is a priority for the J to have the greatest human impact, and ensure we are maximizing our capital investments.
The JCC is dedicated to maximizing the potential of every individual.
Your donation will go towards creating & funding new programs, investing in new equipment & technology for our centre and inspiring social change.
At the Jack and Pat Kay Centre Camp, it is our goal to ensure that every camper has the opportunity to experience camp regardless of their family’s financial situation. For many of these children, The Jack and Pat Kay Centre Camp is their sole source of connection to Jewish life. All donations are gratefully appreciated.
Build your community, one brick at a time.
Join us as we revitalize Sherman Campus with the new Sheff Family Building, expanded home of the Prosserman JCC, set to open in early 2020, by purchasing a brick paver, theatre seat or tree. Exciting new spaces such as the Charlotte & Lewis Steinberg Family Cultural Pavilion and the Cynamon/Sokolowski Sports Complex, next door to the existing Donald Gales Family Pavilion, will transform the PJCC into a dynamic hub of engagement, offering its members expanded state-of-the-art sports, cultural, children & youth facilities and programming. Proceeds will go towards building a world class facility and innovative programming.
If you would like to learn more about additional naming opportunities at higher gift levels, please contact Lana Feinstein 416.638.1881 x 4102 or lana@prossermanjcc.com
A great way to honour your family, memorialize a loved one, or share your connection to the J with the thousands of community members who will walk past the brick pavers on an annual basis. The pavers will be located on the plaza/path at the east entrance to the new Sheff Family Building.
The benefits of trees are countless, from environmental to social. Once fully completed, Sherman Campus will include hundreds of newly planted trees with 50 available to be named. Add your name or honour a loved one with a tree naming and make them a part of this ecologically rich campus.
Arts and culture inspire, motivate, and move us. Leave your mark in the Leah Posluns Theatre, a major feature of the Charlotte & Lewis Steinberg Family Cultural Pavilion, and name a retractable seat for yourself or loved one.
We have several categories of membership to suit you and your family’s needs. Click below to find out about all of our memberships, offers or promotions.
