We’re continually enhancing the experience at the Prosserman JCC and Schwartz/Reisman Centre. Here is a look at what’s underway to make your time with us even more meaningful.

The changing rooms at Prosserman JCC just got a refresh with new shower shelves, cleaner, more modern, and ready for your post-workout reset. It's a simple upgrade that makes a big difference.

We’re planning a fresh coat of paint for our Prosserman JCC meeting rooms. Measurements and quotes are complete, and painting will begin in the near future. This small refresh will help these shared spaces feel brighter and more welcoming.

At the Schwartz/Reisman Centre, our spin studio is getting a fresh upgrade—new bikes, renewed energy, and a reimagined space to elevate every class experience. And at Prosserman JCC, the transformation is already complete—members are enjoying the new ride.

This November, the Toronto Holocaust Museum leads a series of poignant programs that honour memory and spark meaningful conversation. From the opening of Neuberger Holocaust Education Week with The Many Lives of Anne Frank (if possible in italics if not, no worries) to the Kristallnacht commemoration and a book talk exploring the untold stories of Jewish Canadian soldiers, each gathering deepens our connection to history. Through music, film, dialogue, and remembrance, we come together to reflect, remember, and engage across generations.

Join the Toronto Holocaust Museum on November 3 for the Opening Night of Neuberger Holocaust Education Week featuring a profound conversation between author Ruth Franklin and Indigo founder Heather Reisman. Together, they explore Franklin’s new book, The Many Lives of Anne Frank (if possible in italics if not, no worries), unpacking the diary’s global impact and the ways Anne’s legacy has been interpreted over time. Moderated by one of Canada’s most influential literary voices, this evening invites reflection on memory, identity, and the enduring power of storytelling. Books will be available for purchase, with a signing to follow.

On November 9, gather at the historic Kiever Shul for The Songs Remain—a deeply moving Kristallnacht commemoration presented by the Toronto Holocaust Museum. This musical tribute, directed by Charles Heller, honours the lost voices of Jewish communities through centuries of sacred melodies. Featuring performances by Cantor Tibor Kovari, pianist Shoshana Telner, and violist Jacob Clewell, the program culminates in a candle-lighting ceremony led by Holocaust survivor Pinchas Gutter. Experience how music carries memory—and helps it endure.
